Avidia Bank Response
2yWe appreciate the time you took to write this review and assure you that feedback is carefully reviewed and considered objectively. We are happy to read that you enjoyed the atmosphere, compensation and benefits, company events, and positive work environment here at Avidia. Those are areas that we will continue to focus on doing well in and we appreciate the positive feedback.
I’d also like to take some time to comment on the ‘Cons’ that were mentioned as we always strive to improve in areas we may fall short. First, I’d like to acknowledge that many of details referenced in the ‘Cons’ section, we would whole heartedly agree with and stand by. The Risk Analyst role is an important piece of our operations and we agree that this individual handles high level responsibilities which require, as stated, a thorough understanding of relationship agreements. The primary source of support for this role is the manager/AVP of the department. As mentioned, the role requires the ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with minimal assistance after six months, this is also accurate. It is also true that this is a hybrid role and will require some time in the office, particularly during training and/or if there are performance concerns that may require onsite support from the department manager.
In regards to the other information referenced in this section, I’ll try to provide some general clarification, that I hope is helpful. While both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are provided at our annual meetings and holiday parties, it is not our intention for any employee to feel pressured on what they choose to drink at these events. We hope that, if there is an employee that feels this way, they will talk with human resources or their direct manager about their concerns. We strive to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment for all our employees.
While the bank does follow a written policy regarding ‘Employment of Relatives and Relationships in the Workplace’, we do acknowledge that, in banking, as in many industries, colleagues often develop friendships after years of working together. Our policy does prevent the employment of children, siblings, grandchildren, parents, and spouses of any current employee as well as anyone with a familial relationship (i.e. niece/nephew, in-laws) to an executive level employee. All employees are expected to maintain a professional environment regardless of relationships and should address any performance concerns objectively.
Then bank has had two different individuals in this role over the last six years, as both individuals have departed the role, we are looking for a well-qualified Payments Risk Analyst to join our team! We hope that this review and the response given will help clarify what type of individual we are seeking and give some insight into the culture and support you will receive as one of our colleagues.
