Pros
Had support from a couple of senior management personnel. Senior Management interested in developing engineered labor standards.
Cons
Senior Management had no idea how industrial engineering initiatives would help the warehouse/distribution center improve operations. Sooner or later the industrial engineer would be transferred to the packaging line as a supervisor or as a line balance analyst which is a complete waste of engineering skills. Only interested in engineered standards as a way of communicating numbers to regional director not as a way of removing waste in operations. Very resistant to changing operations i.e way of doing things on the floor for improving efficiency. To many people with different agendas.
