Thank you for your review. We remain committed to fostering a positive environment and leading with compassion, which is why we’ve been transparent with some team members about their performance and future growth opportunities at Aya. Finding a balance of what is needed to best serve our employees, candidates and hospital clients simultaneously is never simple, but endeavoring to find that balance is always the guiding approach to every decision – especially the difficult ones.
It was truly the best place to work in 2023, great pay, free benefits, remote work, and generous time off.
Cons
In 2024, we were laid off by the dozens. Silently and with no warning. One day you get a call and your given the option to take severance pay or risk losing your job later because they can't guarantee you won't get cut. I took the opportunity and I'm so grateful. Some people were laid off with nothing. I was let go shortly before I was scheduled to take time off so I didn't have time to fully consider my options. I could've been laid off while on vacation and I chose the guaranteed paycheck. I will say, I was paid handsomely for my departure and I'd do it all over again. We were overworked and micromanaged so I deserved every penny.

When changes do occur, our goal is to approach them with transparency, respect and care for our team members.
