Pros
- It's a startup, you will be given a lot of opportunities and freedom to make the position your own. Great opportunity for fresh graduates who want to get their feet in the door.
- Employees are hardworking and extremely knowledgable.
- Schedule is fairly flexible
Cons
- Downside to being in a startup: you are expected to work long hours. Managers may even call/text you after hours to ask you questions and to do things. The work-life balance is non-existent.
- Filled with micromanagers who secretly keep track of when you're in and out. Very reluctant to allow you to Work from Home, it's like they don't trust you. Quick to praise you when you work extra hours, but the moment you're late in the morning or leave a little bit early, they will call you out. Very hypocritical when the Execs will disappear for "coffee breaks" for hours
- Company does not invest in your career growth and will often give you menial tasks, rather than taking the time to mentor and teach.
- Nepotism at it's finest. Execs and Managers play favorites, and it really shows. Certain execs are unprofessional and childish. They run the company on emotions, rather than professionalism
- Zero transparency between Exec Team and employees. You will only be given vague future growth plans and company visions. It's hard to work for a company when the company vision is unclear.
