Strict HR policies and poor work-life balance

Since the HR department and the organisation overall is taking shape, there is a lot to learn and a lot of things that I got to work upon, from scratch. My exposure was across a lot of different areas within HR. The staff are really cooperative when it comes to providing the data needed to work with. I enjoyed autonomy as well with reasonable deadlines within which I could flexibly manage my work and time. The 5 day workweek with an optional work from home during the week, provided a good balance between work and fun and a different work experience.

I was being mentored by the HR Manager who is extremely busy. Although he has tried his best in mentoring me throughout my internship, it would be even better if there was a designated person, working under the HR, who could be given responsibility for training interns and reporting their progress. It would reduce the load on the Manager and would facilitate more face to face meetings with the interns when in doubt.
