Pros
B2B CFO® allowed me to establish a full book of business that I've had for over 20 years since joining the firm in 2005. I work with my beloved clients at an advisory or director role in a variety of businesses in several industries. I had the skills, except for selling (which is normal for financial types), and the firm trained me how to get clients using what has evolved into the B2B CFO® Playbook. After training, the incredible credibility of the firm let me hit the ground selling. I built my own bank of business that I will have as long as I want as my clients see me as a critical part of their continuing success. New Partners are assigned a seasoned Partner to mentor them, and we have great support from the other Partners in the region. Flexible hours and independence have given me financial freedom beyond what I had going for me even as a NYSE corporate CFO.
Cons
You eat what you kill, so building a business can be daunting, but the firm trains you on that part and coaches you through the process after training you on how to sell. I moved to Arizona from Illinois concurrent to joining the firm and built income security fairly quickly, so I did have to network in the new community. You must be prepared to start with zero income until you get your first clients, but I was "hungry" and followed the firm's training to the letter and income security came faster than I expected.
