Salary structure needs an overhaul from top to bottom. Annual variance in pay rises between lower levels (professional and manual staff) and middle management (executives) is consistently a cause for concern for those in middle management roles as the executive reward package degrades year on year when compared with those in the professional and manual roles who are represented by a union, therefore generally receive higher percentage salary increases and also receive paid overtime, despite generally working fewer hours than executives on average. However, executive bonus scheme is pretty good - although as per most company bonus schemes it is wholly dependent on company financial targets and individual performance.
