BARKER Response
12y
This employee's experience is not typical. 82% of employees at Barker have been promoted in the past 18 months, and the head of Account Management has been promoted 7 times in 9 years, since starting at reception. Our salaries and benefits are benchmarked against 4As data annually, and we have scored in the top half of all New York agencies for 7 years in a row. Our creative department has won over 30 awards in the past year alone.
Great people, great leadership and a fun environment.
Cons
Small agency and for some that may not be a fit.

Business outlook
Pros
An agency that feels like we're changing the game. Small, agile, fast. CEO calls us Seal Team Six, like Commandos. In new business pitches, we love to sink the big battleships. Tight team atmosphere. Really supportive culture. Status quo not welcome. Growing fast and name is getting out there.
Cons
Nowhere to hide. If you're insecure or if you actually suck, there's no layers of beaurocracy to protect you. The good news is that BARKER is committed to helping you with whatever is challenging. Lots of growth and promote from within, but no regular evaluations. Pay is fair but not amazing. It's actually a whole philosophy they make public, because they never want anyone who is working only for money.
