Pros

A small and independent art gallery with big ambitions. Artist run for artists. International mindset. Great team spirit and trust in people and staff to develop ideas and add to the arts and culture scene.

Cons

A small company, processes and structures need better operative implementation.

Pros

- You get to do real work, creating graphics for exhibitions - Great co-workers - You get to meet people who are genuinely passionate about what they do

Cons

- Too much pressure on interns - Too many interns and not enough permanent employees - Stressful and often times verbally abusive if you don't perform well, receiving negative feedback rather than constructive criticism - A lack of training (you usually get trained by another intern) - Bad communication of deadlines, with the blame ending up on you - A lot of overtime working - Unpaid!!!!!!!! - Bad management

Pros

I've spent three months as intern at BBA Gallery. I was looking for a post graduation internship in the art industry field and BBA responded to my request! I had the opportunity to work with an international team of people who now I consider friends and two employers, Renata and Vishal, who put lot of trust in myself! I felt confident with the tasks that I received and I had the opportunity to push myself into new challenges. In an international gallery as BBA you can meet lot of interesting people: visitors, artists and other professionals, this really helped me to create my network.

Cons

I think three months weren't enough to fully achieve my goals. Sometime the office work may not meet expectations and bother creative minds but it's part of the job as gallery assistant and it is as important as other tasks.
