Great pay but bad management - Non-clinical Staff BC Centre for Disease Control Employee Review

There are some good people here who are passionate about public health.

The promotion of people to middle-management positions is very questionable. Generally they are ill equipped and those are the people most staff report directly to. Upper management is fully aware the pay is low and so staff retention is a serious issue.

Can provide stable job because they will keep you forever

The hierarchy and the upper management structure will significantly hinder progressing forward with doing any science (publishing, collaboration with other organization, etc)
