Pros

They used to be a great company

Cons

This used to be a great company, but they grew to fast and lost all the original people that made things work. They offer outdated technology(office 2003) and no training or growth for employees. They think they can replace the agents with technology. Managers just crunch numbers to see how few people they can use. Work loads are to much and they lay off staff and never replace them. I was laid off and told my HR they would help me, but they never did. I saved them thousands of dollars and my thanks was to loose my job and soon my house.

I love everything about BCD travel. It’s a laid back work environment with minimal micromanagement.

I really cannot list any kinds. BCD is an awesome place to work.

Pros

The company used to give raises every 6 months based on performance.

Cons

We have not been given raises in years and they always have an excuse as to why they have to push it off til later, even our 0-3% inflation “raises” are put off until further notice. We no longer have sick leave or PTO and they say we should be grateful for that because if we were to leave the company they wouldn’t pay out our PTO to us, but they will pay out our vacation. If you need any kind of time off good luck, you need to know when your children will get sick months in advance, otherwise you accrue attendance points which will get you closer to being fired. Work force management pesters management about what we’re doing and why every single minute of the day. If we are late for scheduled breaks or lunches by a couple minutes they need to know why. If you have to deal with a traveler longer than usual you need to send multiple messages to management explaining why. It’s horrific micromanaging and we are treated like children now. You can find better pay at any other business travel management company while also being treated like a human being and not a number.
