Pros
BDP International is a great company to get your foot in the door in Freight Forwarding. BDP will give you plenty of work from day one. The good thing about all the work is that you learn alot very fast and you learn to work in a very stressful environment. Then when you go else where you are able to outshine others because you know alot, you work fast and you can handle any kind of stress work brings.
Cons
BDP goes on and on about how they value their employees but while working for them you will go to town hall meetings where BDP will brag about how much money they are making and how much they are "growing". Then around Christmas time when it comes time for bonuses you can forget about it becuase BDP has lost too much money on their new system they are trying to create. Also never beleive that you are being paid fairly becuase if your one of the quiet ones I can almost guarantee you that your co-workers are making more than you. Also, never look forward to a raise at BDP, your are only allowed one raise per year so whatever you get during your year end review thats what your stuck with for the entire year. Oh and just when you think your salary is aleast keeping up with inflation the health insurance goes up and there went your raise! Also, dont plan on bringing your spouse to the Christmas Party becuase it is not allowed, so most people just do not go. Oh and when you go for an interview just go ahead and have them hire you as a Logistics Coordinator II rather than a Logistics Coordinator I because there is no difference in the work load just in pay.
