Pros
BMWC was a great place to start. People were kind, good learning opportunities being in the field.
Cons
Once you begin working toward a promotion, it becomes clear that you're often performing the same responsibilities as colleagues one, two, or even three titles above you—without a corresponding increase in pay. At BMWC, the promotion structure typically requires employees to operate in the higher role for an extended period before receiving the official title or compensation, which can be discouraging. This system has contributed to significant turnover, placing additional strain on those who remain as they take on the workload of departing team members. Training is minimal and largely limited to required onboarding videos, despite high expectations for performance. The environment is very much trial-and-error, which can become exhausting, especially when employees are frequently held accountable for issues outside of their control. Project Engineers, in particular, tend to receive the bulk of the blame when problems arise.
