Pros

Co-workers are great, family like atmosphere sometimes,

Cons

Upper Management at a select few branches is terrible and senior management would rather fire other employees than to deal with these branch managers, terrible work-life balance, they say you can be promoted in a few months or with hard work albeit true positions open so rarely so there is little chance for growth.

BNB Bank Response
7y
It is true many of our employee’s say it feels like “family” when working for BNB Bank, and we thank you for acknowledging one of the benefits of working here. We appreciate you taking time to provide the constructive feedback as well. While we have a satisfactory retention rate, We do believe in internal growth and ensure our processes relate as such. Our internal hiring practice is to post positions internally (to only BNB employees) for a week prior to posting a position external website. This gives our BNB employees the opportunity to apply for a position and be considered first. We welcome the opportunity to further discuss your concerns with management, and ask that you please email me at Lgarraputa@bnbbank.com

Pros

I was able to advance my career at BNB. I got promoted nearly every year. They have top quality equipment. The co-workers while I was there were great and do miss them. I would recommend new graduates and fresh bankers to start with BNB but as soon as you gather your skills move on to better opportunities.

Cons

I was not compensated for my responsibilities. After just 3 years and even with promotions my pay scale was under the average in an area with a high cost of living. After 6.5 years I was paid under $15k the average for my position and responsibilities I had to leave for proper compensation. I was almost denied my last promotion by Upper Management from due to Not receiving a calendar invite to a meeting, therefore missing the meeting and had to prove that it was never sent to me.
