Pros

Working from home is not a problem.

Cons

You will work with people who have superficial knowledge of the tools and technologies they use. Poor project management. Managers create impossible deadlines without fully understanding what is involved to deliver on time. I have seen managers create go-live dates without developers estimates (disastrous). The people here tend to make assumptions on everything without any validation to on their claims (disastrous). This leads to confusion and projects falling behind schedule. It is almost impossible to get anything done at that company due inadequate processes they have in place. Everything has to have a request ticket and be approved which is at minimum one day turn around up to weeks/months depending on what you are requesting. Although there is some new technology being explored at this firm most of the technology is old and outdated. Have you ever heard of Harvest for source control. I did not think so, if you come here you will. The turnover rate here is extremely high. I seen people come and go. Some do not even last a month. On average I seen people stay for about a year. If you are not looking by then you will probably be here forever. This place is a career killer!!!!

Pros

After the latest re-structuring and going agile, I don't find any. But before, a stable bank with a good book of work. Positive environment with support from your colleagues. Industry standard medical plan and vacations.

Cons

Bonuses and salary raises are hugely dependent on who you know in the senior management and how they perceive you rather than what you actually delivered.
