Pros
They are very passionate about what they do and are conscious of their goal of becoming a bigger player in media and entertainment. They have a good world view and everyone is dedicated to making the best show they can.
Cons
With the change from being a small niche station with 100k viewers to something bigger, there is some friction between departments. It's normal, but can be exhausting and counterproductive. Also there is not a lot of mobility. It is a smaller company so people don't move that much. This isn't so much a con, but BYUB used to be predominantly about training the students to be professionals. The station was mostly part time student employees. With the newer focus on creating shows with higher production value, that focus has shifted so they are more interested in having professionals do the work rather than students. You're seeing fewer students in the building than you used to. Again, this isn't a con; it's just an observation.
