Pros

Working from home and never having to deal with them face to face.

Cons

Everything!! The only reason this company has good reviews is because the CEO asked us to fill this out while still working with them. They should be honest with their clients and let them know how faulty their system really is. Not all calls are answered since everyone that is employed is new working there under 6 months. This company lacks stability none of the employees have been there past 1 year. The one employee that is about to make a year is now the manager. They have lost employees left and right no one takes this job seriously it is a temporary position. Even the CEOs cousin left. BEWARE this company listens to personal conversations while not on the clock. I had an incident where they told me they heard me speaking to my mother. They are sick!!!! I wonder how long they heard my peronal conversations with my husband because I never turned off my computer. That is a violation privacy. Very disrespectful! Joke of a company that has only 5 Years under their belt and is trying to copy Ruby receptionists in every move they make.

We appreciate the time EVERY employee takes to create a response. I do ask our current, past and prospective employees to leave HONEST reviews and this means the good, the bad and the ugly. This particular review is littered with FALSE accusations. - TEAM TENURE: Our team has many team members with multiple years of tenure. Earlier in the year, we discovered a small group of team members who were not a good fit. They lacked integrity and were not aligned with our culture and values. Each of these team members are no longer with us. We have too many GREAT people working here to allow anyone to disrupt our positive and supportive community. We had to rehire for a few positions, but it simply wasn’t the dramatic exodus implied. Yes, the newer team members have less tenure, but they are a much better fit because they are a perfect culture fit. It’s an insult to our team to imply that their former teammates are all inexperienced and lacking in any way. We have the MOST talented group of legal receptionists that we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. - SYSTEM ISSUES – These can occur to team members with poor internet connections. We try our best to remedy the situation and when we can’t correct the issue, we must part ways with the team member. Speedy answering is imperative. We can’t keep a team member who is unable to help us fulfill this commitment. - FAMILY WON’T EVEN WORK HERE - It sounds awfully juicy to imply the owner/CEO’s own family fled the company, but this is simply not true. She left to pursue her own entrepreneurial dreams and is actively being mentored by our CEO. Betties proudly provides all current/ former team members a FREE account for any business or charity’s they are a part of. - PRIVACY VIOLATIONS - We are not the CIA and do not listen to private conversations from our team members. We do provide company computers and they can be monitored during the employee's shift. We are VERY up front about this. Privacy and security of our client’s information is critical to our success and we protect this fiercely. Our team should not be conducting personal business while on the clock. We consider this time theft. We track every minute a receptionist is not available to take calls. This isn’t because we are monsters standing over our team with a stop watch. Our team members work hard and it does not bode well to have one person constantly unavailable and underperforming while they leave the rest of the team to pick up the slack. Integrity is non-negotiable. If for example, a team member consistently put themselves on after call work status to conduct personal business or take excessive breaks, they will be terminated. We are VERY lenient when our team is truthful about their needs. For example, a team member stated they were waiting on an insurance adjustor call and let their lead know that when the call came in, they would go on do not disturb status for a few minutes. Perfectly okay. We are extremely flexible in working with our team provided they are honest and there are no patterns of abuse. We DO record one to one meeting’s in order to properly document team member coaching. - WANNABE - We provide boutique custom services to small law firms while Ruby is a (fabulous) general answering service for all industries. They are one of several companies we refer to based on the needs of a prospective client. We believe in helping people find the right fit whether that is with us or someone else. When a plumber or Realtor call us, we refer out. Our motivation for change is driven solely by the needs of our law firm clients and our team members. - I'm sorry that things did not work out with this team member. Not everyone is a fit for a position with Betties. There are many talented people whose skills are better suited for other companies. There are others who do not possess the intrinsic ethics we want in a team member. To be clear on what it takes to be a great Bettie, having a value system must come first. Having stellar receptionist skills and an aptitude for the legal industry must come next. Quality service is everything and this includes quality service to each other internally as well as to our clients. Poor service means they cannot work here. If a team member lacks integrity, they cannot work here. High achievers will be praised. If a team member is having a rough day, we will encourage them. If a team member is celebrating, we cheer together. If a team member shows OUTSTANDING aptitude regardless of tenure, they will be rewarded. Our seats at the table are filled with team members who get what it means to be a Bettie, want to be here and have the ability to execute. We have fun, we love and support each other and we work hard. If this sounds like you, please apply.

Pros

I had such a wonderful experience working with Back Office Betties. From the very beginning, they made me feel like family — something that’s rare to find in a workplace. The staff is not only professional but also genuinely kind, supportive, and uplifting. One of the biggest highlights of my time there was working with Lisa — hands down, the best supervisor I’ve ever had in my entire career. She led with both strength and compassion, always making sure we felt heard, respected, and motivated. The company culture is built on fairness, teamwork, and mutual respect, and you can feel the care that goes into every decision. I loved being part of such an empowering, women-led company that truly inspires and values its people. The incentives were fantastic, but more than that, it was the sense of purpose and unity that made it special. If you're looking for a company that believes in you, lifts you up, and treats you like more than just an employee, Back Office Betties is that place.

Cons

I have no cons for this company! I was very blessed with the opportunity.

Pros

Betties offers wonderful benefits for PTO, vacation, wellness days, and pet bereavement. There are many virtual team events for us. Everyone is very cordial and encourages teams to push and strive for more. There is compassion in the workplace for work-life balance while still maintaining the professional aspect of us being in a workplace. Very supportive environment. We are also kept updated on how the company is doing as a whole. Training and understanding of growth/ learning expectations are done with patience. Leadership is dedicated and on top of issues and questions.

Cons

Growth for pay opportunities is unclear. Training is a bit fast-paced and sometimes scenarios with legal terms may be a challenge to understand at first. Lots of camera meetings (while not necessarily the worst thing in the world it can be hard if you are not feeling motivated to smile on camera on difficult days)
