Pros

Besides the health insurance (which was terrible) the benefits were pretty good. PTO was good although it is combined with sick time. The company seems to value it's employees.

Cons

In the industry their pay scale is quite low. Especially in this role the only way to get a decent total compensation plan is for the advisors you service to revenue share with you. In my experience this isn't something they are very willing to do. Even if they're making 500k+ they aren't interested in shaving off 20k so you can make a comparable amount to other firms. The base salary range that you get from home office is quite low. As a CS you really have no chance to move into an advisor role. Even if you are told there is a chance, I would be quite skeptical. The financial advisor training program based out of Milwaukee seems to be the only way to work into that role at this point. This role locks you into very minimal raises with almost no long term upside.
