Pros
Remote Work: Transitioning from a traditional brick-and-mortar job to remote work over the past 3 years at BairesDev has been incredibly refreshing. The flexibility and freedom remote work offers have significantly helped my work-life balance, and I wouldn’t go back to brick-and-mortar. Team Environment: I’ve had the chance to work in a couple of teams so far, and all of them have been incredibly supportive. My teams have always been willing to help whenever needed. Workload: There have been moments when the workload wasn’t perfectly balanced, but those instances have been minimal. Whenever the workload has become challenging, we've had those discussions and redistributed tasks within the team and with other areas to avoid being at capacity.
Cons
Restructurings: BairesDev *really* embraces change, constantly adding, splitting, or merging areas. Yes, it keeps things dynamic, but it can be a pain to keep up with. Sometimes, roles and tasks change multiple times in a short span without much warning, which, again, can be a pain to keep up with and a bit overwhelming. Salary: The salary is competitive, but they will always throw you a low offer during the application process. Also, salary reviews don’t always happen automatically. You have to request them, and even then, they can sometimes be denied without much explanation or feedback.
