Pros

Paired with a client for a 2 year period on average. They really take the time to find someone you will best be able to assist and build that connection need for behavior therapy.

Cons

This is naturally a stressful job, and the benefits could be better.

Pros

Definitely best company I have worked for so far. The only reason I left was because I no longer live in California. If you want to work in education, disabilities, healthcare, and childcare, this is an amazing company. Management is understanding, good communication, fantastic support, and many opportunities for paid, informative trainings. They are a non profit which is nice. Pay is fair and can be discussed, potentially. Would highly recommend! They definitely helped me realize my related career path I’m now working towards.

Cons

Not many I can think of.

Pros

Love the kids, and classrooms. Can be a fairly easy job, dependent on your client. Company is willing to adjust your match-up to ensure both you and the client work well together. Willing to give raises, but need to ask. Opportunity for added jobs, such as after school program, or individual respite care.

Cons

Hard to get benefits unless you are really putting in the extra hours. Normal school weeks may be less than 30 hours, where you are expected to work with after school programs to get benefits. No room for growth really, there are no positions except aide positions, and maybe 2 office positions (which currently have no plans to change). In looking for new job, many were surprisingly not interested or impressed by this position.
