Pros

BambooHR has some amazing people working here. I don't even think BambooHR realizes the talent that they have.

Cons

BambooHR was always on the up and up. People were happy and things seemed to be going in a good direction. There were some negatives such as heavily requesting for referrals; however, the talent aquistion team never follows up or treats those friends you refer with eespect and honesty, which is why i stopped referring individuals. The pay is extremely minimal. They claiming they are paying fair rates but when shown that they are not you are met with, "Well those companies pay so high because they don't have a culture." Last year, when we got a new CEO, we were promised career opportunities and training opportunities. A year has passed and this promise still has not been given or even shown a real roadmap. In reality the opportunities are basically not existent. You try and create these opportunities for yourself but instead are told, no that is a lateral move you don't want that or nah we don't think you'll be a good fit for that. When Covid19 hit, BambooHR did probably what they thought was the best they could do. They kept saying, "We haven't let people go, we didn't do pay decreases, we didn't furlough individuals. We are one of the only companies that didn't do this along Silicon Slopes. In fact we are hiring continously!" What they aren't telling you is that they are hiring because they have lost so many people. Why? Because they cut wage increases (only to bring it back again under the circumstance of "Do the right thing"), hired 2-3 new top level executives (can see it even on LinkedIn), are using their values as crutches for decisions that they are making, and top level executives are refusing to accept accountability for the mistakes they are making. We are constantly being told, after providing our feedback and thoughts, well what can you do to help the situation. I truly believe that BambooHR believes that they have handled the Covid19 thing quite well but if the leaving numbers of individuals doesn't cause a red flag for them then that only means they are not looking at the bigger picture or wanting to change at all.

We appreciate that you took the time to provide us with this feedback. Please know that we’re listening and incorporating this feedback throughout the organization - from talent acquisition up to our executives. We completely agree with you that we have the best talent in Utah! We don’t take that for granted. We are really proud that we were able to retain our entire workforce during this challenging year without requiring layoffs or furloughs. To provide a slight point of clarification, we have added a net new 200+ positions this year, slightly down from our projections, but still growing. It’s true that we’ve also experienced some attrition as companies around the country have begun to recognize the talent we have here in Utah and at Bamboo. Addressing this issue is a top priority for us as we move into 2021. Furthermore, our talent acquisition team is working on processes to better communicate how they handle employee referrals, as we strike the delicate balance between privacy constraints and excitement around potential candidates. We believe that Bamboo is a wonderful place to work, but are continuously examining things like culture, pay, and benefits to ensure we are meeting the needs and expectations of our employees. Covid-19 presented challenges for nearly all businesses. While we did make the necessary decision to hold off on pay raises due to business climate uncertainty, we were grateful that our financial situation allowed us to add raises back in the third quarter of the year, along with a year-end bonus. We are so excited about our future at Bamboo and know it takes our entire team to get to where we want to be. Again, we appreciate you reaching out. We also encourage you to discuss your concerns directly with your manager if you are comfortable.

Pros

If you’re complacent with being told what to do and are OK with the pay, you will be OK working here

Cons

There might not be enough space for what I have to say. Management is full of narcissist. Little to no accountability or responsibility from management. Management job is supposed to be helping the team and supporting them and learning the job which they extremely lack in. If you are OK with having someone tell you how to do your job that doesn’t know how to do your job then, you’re in luck. When the team was failing to hit quota, their solution was to keep it the same while calling the BDR‘s complacent. Management also failed to recognize that reps were obtaining quota only through going to events. A work colleague of mine gave feedback in a meeting and was later criticized for providing feedback. After that meeting, he was told not to speak up in a meeting like that. Yet they say they welcome feedback. Management finds time to do things that don’t benefit the team or add extra task to their plate. The organization also loves pointless meetings that can be summarized in two short sentences. My last piece is that the team has a mutual feeling about management and suckers up to them because they are playing the . Bamboo fails to recognize their weaknesses and if they managed to succeed, I would be impressed with how it’s been ran.
