Pros

Good product for those who are ok giving business to a company that chews and spits out it's workers.

Cons

During onboarding you'll learn about how the company values are essential to success and a cornerstone of day to day work. You'll be enticed, happy, and ready to contribute to that promised culture. You'll think you finally found a company that values you as a person rather than just a cog. Guess again, this company DOES NOT care about you - don't listen to what they SAY, watch what they DO. Actions speak louder than words in every facet of life, and BambooHR killed their culture in one fell swoop on Feb 3, 2023. The top performers who went above and beyond every day have updated resumes and are no longer motivated because they no longer trust the company. I am not exaggerating - every. single. top. performer. On Friday afternoon right before sending us off for our weekend (no coincidence on the timing there!), they called this presentation and led off with "good news, you guys are getting a raise! This is a great opportunity!" and then proceeded to inform us that quota had been skyrocketed, pay was actually DECREASED, and 95% of the floor is now set up for failure. Anyone with knowledge of 3rd grade math can do simple calculations that show our pay was reduced, which isn't nearly as bad as the mind-numbingly pandering way in which it what presented as a positive change. I've heard people on the floor have actually broken down the numbers and presented it to higher-ups to show that we're not nearly as stupid as they think. They won't change anything though. They'll just hire new SDRs - THEY EVEN SAID SO!! If you want to work for a company that preaches high values, but acts on the polar opposite side of the spectrum, come to Bamboo, they're as performative as it gets. They truly expect you to hit unobtainable numbers, get paid below average for it, and keep your mouth shut. During the early stages of my tenure I saw myself making a career at BambooHR and never leaving. I was so motivated to do what's right for the company because I was happy and was lulled into a false sense of value. Now, I don't care at all what happens to the company, I'll clock in until I find something better and then I'll leave, because that's what they do to my lesser-performing colleagues, and to be honest I'm very upset that I've lost passion for this job. They'll spit me and out the moment it benefits them financially, and then they'll wonder why all top performers lost their drive. IMPORTANT ADVICE: If you're reading these reviews while considering sales positions at BambooHR, only read reviews starting on February 3rd 2023 (and watch out for non-sales managers sending through 5 star ratings to hide the truth). This is what the current company looks like, this is the current atmosphere. Feb 3rd is the day they took the axe to their values, implemented massive changes, initiated them immediately (and retroactively!!!!), and destroyed the mindset of the entire SDR and AE floors. Never in my life have I been treated like a dumber human than I was on February 3rd and there is no coming back from that presentation, although I'm sure they'll use their empty words to try without any corresponding action.

Pros

If you’re complacent with being told what to do and are OK with the pay, you will be OK working here

Cons

There might not be enough space for what I have to say. Management is full of narcissist. Little to no accountability or responsibility from management. Management job is supposed to be helping the team and supporting them and learning the job which they extremely lack in. If you are OK with having someone tell you how to do your job that doesn’t know how to do your job then, you’re in luck. When the team was failing to hit quota, their solution was to keep it the same while calling the BDR‘s complacent. Management also failed to recognize that reps were obtaining quota only through going to events. A work colleague of mine gave feedback in a meeting and was later criticized for providing feedback. After that meeting, he was told not to speak up in a meeting like that. Yet they say they welcome feedback. Management finds time to do things that don’t benefit the team or add extra task to their plate. The organization also loves pointless meetings that can be summarized in two short sentences. My last piece is that the team has a mutual feeling about management and suckers up to them because they are playing the . Bamboo fails to recognize their weaknesses and if they managed to succeed, I would be impressed with how it’s been ran.
