Pros

I don't have any pros for this company; they essentially steal people's money

Barbizon is really what I would call....a scam agency. They get all of these girls--some who you can clearly tell: 1) Don't want to be in modeling/acting 2) They most likely won't be an actor or model (if you're being honest)--and their parents to pay money. I watched a girl almost get pulled out of her 3rd or 4th class class because her mom couldn't pay $10 the same day. Ridiculous. They hire instructors 1-2 weeks before classes start and expect us to teach these girls industry standards?! We haven't even been in the industry. If you want your kid to make it--find them an agent (a legit agent who doesn't take money upfront). For most of the classes, they don't have correct materials to teach based on the book and the girls miss out. The only thing I miss about this job is interacting with the young girls/women that came, but I could not stay knowing that Barbizon was not providing them anything as far as making it in the modeling/acting world. And 1 weekend a month---the kids forget everything by the next month; it's just absurd how they run this. Do your research, you'll see what top agencies say about places like Barbizon.

Pros

Benefits are very good and there is plenty of room for growth if you show dedication and reliability. When I first came to Barbizon, I had no idea what I wanted to do professionally. I was excited for the opportunity and worked hard from the start. I began as an appointment setter, quickly moved into front desk and administrative responsibilities, and in less than three years became the manager of the booking team. Not only myself, but all employees and executives strive to create an environment built on teamwork, encouragement, and support. I have learned so much from every person I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside.

Cons

There are not any I can think of at this time. The company actually listens to all their employees and if/when issues arise, they are promptly handled.
