Pros

- Lots of opportunities to learn from very talented people - Great culture, lots of really nice, caring people - Lots of available work with a wide range of companies all over the globe - Freedom to work from wherever - Opportunities for travel - Lots of chances to try new things or areas where you haven't worked in before - Central location in Atlanta makes it really easy to get to wherever there's work - Company is growing significantly - Barkawi is a global company with people from many different countries and cultures, so it provides an opportunity to learn from lots of different perspectives

Cons

Honestly, working for Barkawi has been absolutely great, and there have just been a couple of tiny things that I've seen in my time here. - Because Barkawi is a global company, sometimes working hours can be all over the place (this hasn't happened to me a lot, but there's times when it can be a little stressful) - There hasn't been a lot of opportunities to take classes or get certifications (APICS) - Because there's the freedom to work from wherever, sometimes there's instances where you can go a whole project without seeing team memberes face to face (they live in another state/country). Makes it difficult to learn from/get direction - On-boarding process for out of college grads doesn't feel structured, leads to instances where there can be a lot of down-time between projects where you're trying to find something to do

Thanks for the feedback! We agree on-boarding and training are areas we can improve as a company. We’re discussing ways we can provide more structure and training to our on-boarding process for new grads as well as experienced professionals. Managing work/life balance can be hard, especially early in your career. If you need help pushing back or ways to manage your workload please reach out to a mentor as we want this lifestyle to be sustainable for everyone!
