Most of the pros of my time at Barron's happened prior to the News Corp takeover of Dow Jones. I had wonderful editors and was encouraged to dig deeply for the pieces I wrote over a 20+ year relationship with the publication.
Cons
Unfortunately, since the News Corp takeover, most of the senior people at Barron's have been pushed out. There are still some good writers left, but they are becoming rare creatures.
