Pros

Some people are nice and you bond over how bad the company you work for is lol, hybrid working, good if you have no other options, good as a stepping stone in your career

Cons

Linear management style so the people on top get off feeling like a boss while the juniors who have a lot of potential feel unheard and like they do not matter at all. Management will threaten you if they feel like you’re not doing work or bowing down to them and this leads to a lot of people feeling bullied. Promises of being able to do more/learn more as it’s a small company but if you ask to shadow someone from a different department (provided you have finished your work) it is not encouraged as it’s not ‘what you were hired for’. Under qualified people are hired for low salary. Salary doesn’t match industry’s

Pros

The working culture here is lovely and supportive, collaborative, and family-oriented. The people are genuinely kind and always willing to help, creating a warm and welcoming environment from day one. Management went out of their way to make my experience enjoyable, and HR consistently showed understanding and compassion, often going above and beyond to accommodate individual circumstances, even outside standard policy. The company’s approach to product development is equally impressive—exciting, fast-moving, and genuinely innovative. A great place to learn both personally and professionally.

Cons

The company could benefit from organizing more social events or team-building activities to strengthen connections across teams and departments.

Pros

Working at Barry M has been a genuinely rewarding experience. As a family-run business, there’s a real sense of care and community here. It’s not just a place where decisions are made from the top down, everyone’s opinion is welcomed, and you’re encouraged to contribute to the bigger picture. The team is incredibly supportive, across all departments and collaboration is a big part of the culture. There's also a strong emphasis on maintaining a good work-life balance and celebrating wins together.

Cons

As with many growing businesses, some processes are still evolving – but the team is always open to improvements.
