Pros
- Job security. You literally can't lose your job unless you doing something monumentally stupid and harmful to the company - Nice people to work with depending on your area - A mantra of Everyone Matters and caring that, to some extent, is still applied in pockets - Some good leaders - Good opportunities to learn and progress if early in your career
Cons
- Inaptitude to adapt to a market that is requesting full-time or close to full-time remote work. The old guard insisting on full-time in-office presence because "that's how we can collaborate and grow" is very outdated and demonstrates a lack of vision on how the workplace is evolving - Very little opportunities to grow career wise - Ridiculously low wages. Yearly increases are a joke, and the process to get a raise is convoluted and unclear. The company is coming out of one of its best years ever, with stock price at its highest and there is no trickling down to the people who actually make it happen - Poor benefits (health is offensively expensive) - The mantra and messaging seem very cult-like and have felt less and less applied over time - Most of leadership (at least from my area) seemed very out of touch and unable to adapt and offer interesting perspectives for the future
