Pros

They were willing to be very flexible with a school schedule and then later with working remotely when I had a family emergency. My manager was doing the jobs of 5 people and still found time to coach me and advocate for me and my work.

Cons

I was overworked and taken advantage of while being underpaid. There is a lot of tension between managers and executives with a lot of miscommunication. On multiple occasions, I was stuck between managers and executives and their inability to come to a solution. There was little transparency and A LOT of drama. The negativity in my department was unbearable.

Basecamp Franchising Response

COVID has created challenges for many businesses, including ours. I hope you can understand that the decision to say goodbye to some members of our team at the end of March was extremely difficult. It comes as a surprise to hear about how dissatisfied you were here at BaseCamp and that our internal employee review process didn't work as intended and provide you a forum and opportunity to express those frustrations. Employee satisfaction is very important to us and I'm disappointed that we weren't able to address them prior to your departure. In my experience we have responded positively to similar complaints and adjusted accordingly when given the chance. I wish you the best in your future endeavors. Sincerely -Scott Sloan, CEO

Pros

Basecamp Franchising has some of the best leadership this industry has to offer and it is an absolute dream to work here. The culture and work life balance is unmatched. If you ever align with the roles we have available you should absolutely give it a shot. The work is unique and rewarding and the opportunities are limitless. The new CEOs and the tech leadership we have here today are comprised of the kind of people you would be proud to associate with and I have no hesitation navigating our challenges under their direction.

Cons

The pay may not be quite on par with the growth and expectations in the area. The benefits are also so so, but I think premiums are skyrocketing everywhere and the effort this company takes to acknowledge this and do the best they can is noted.
