Pros
There are none other than it is one of the few employers in the Lewiston Auburn area. This however leads into one of the biggest cons, because Bates can treat employees very poorly knowing employees have few other options.
Cons
Horrendous pay. No opportunity for advancement. An aging IT infrastructure which cannot handle the demands placed on it. Overbearing management. Low endowment means staffing levels are not adequate to meet the needs of the College, so existing employees get asked to do more, with no gain in wages.
