Pros
Great culture set by leadership in terms of Mission First identity - it is stressed all the time and consistently put into practice by people across the company. Salary has moved up faster than originally expected this early. Teammates have been well trained and offer great support. 9/80 schedule is very helpful and a nice plus.
Cons
PTO is beyond lackluster until first increase after 3 years of company service and well behind industry. Communication from leadership has been concerning, to say the least, amidst the many changes happening within the organization recently. The recent announcement of the move from remote work to hybrid was not communicated effectively and burned MANY workers who had been promised fully remote work even from the time of hiring. I had seen Battelle as a place I could spend a significant part of my early career, but suddenly with recent evolutions in leadership and changes directed by leadership, I’ve seriously had to reconsider what my future looks like with the company.
