Pros
Pro tip for the fellow scientists out there: stick around for the projects, leave before they force you into a management role. The project work is worthwhile. They pay well, ok 401k match, health benefits are fine. They do not give much PTO time, and are even less likely to approve time off. You will work hard on amazing projects, surrounded by burnt out experts in their fields. It's one of the few places in the Columbus area that can afford postdoctorate salaries, and they will burn you out of wanting a career with them. Get a job with them, stay for a couple years for the resume building, then get out unless you have a passion for management of high turn-over rate teams.
Cons
Burn-out no pension Odd hours Lack of control of own projects micro-management Failure of projects frowned upon ripe for faulty analyses
