Pros

As a software engineer, there are many opportunities to learn and prove oneself here. The company leadership is very open to new ideas and is very willing to move forward with new projects. Engineers are generally trusted with long-term decision-making that affects their day-to-day lives-- choice of tech stack, prioritization of technical debt, and more. They are also comfortable with their engineers open-sourcing any non-mission-critical work, which is a big plus if you're like me and value such contributions. If you're really looking to flex your developer muscles and advance your resume, I've never encountered a better place to do it. Also worth noting: Work-life balance was very good. Leadership makes accommodations for disruptive life events up to and including serious illness. They're also quite receptive to concerns regarding social issues-- LGBT+ inclusivity in their products, for example.

Cons

The environment can be chaotic. Turnover is relatively high and org charts shift frequently. Their product management process is a constant work in progress which has been pulled in many different directions by many different teams over the years. As a result, it's a bit messy and still relies a lot on ad-hoc clarification of requirements.
