Pros

External staff are looked after very well

Cons

I’ve been at the company for a few years, and the decline in culture has been sharp. What was once a supportive, family-run business has become profit-driven and cold, especially toward internal staff. Since the leadership change, respect and values have taken a back seat. Some directors regularly speak to staff in a disrespectful manner and openly criticise both current and former employees. There’s little room for input, management isn’t open to suggestions and expects things to be done their way, no matter the impact. If you’re not in favor with the right people, they’ll make work difficult, regardless of your performance. The environment has become toxic, with leadership behaviors bordering on bullying. This is reflected in the high staff turnover internally. The company does take care of its external workforce, but if you’re considering a role on the internal team, I’d strongly advise looking elsewhere.

Pros

Some of the people you meet here will be friends for life

Cons

I've been here a few years now and honestly, in interviews they will say it's a family company and everyone is so friendly and we're one big happy family. It honestly used to be like that and there are people who have been here for 10+ years who will say the same but it just isn't anymore. The change in management that has happened over the past 1-2 years has taken it's toll massively. For what used to be able to say it was a fun environment is now just a corporate office, same as any other. It is not the same company it says it is. They have these awards for "investing in people" and it's the opposite. They would rather hire in new blood than promote their own despite what they say. There's no room for growth or training here anymore. The upper management levels do not care, they only want to make themselves look good and will throw you under the bus in the process. So much politics and drama whether you want to be involved in it or not, you'll get dragged in one way or another and this is all levels of the hierarchy.
