Pros
I really just wanted to post something because of the negative review from December 10, 2014. I am honestly not sure what this person is talking about. I believe I was hired for the same large project they mentioned. It wasn't that they didn't give us a "hire" date. The gave us a start date based on trainings that were pretty clearly laid out, but due to some issues with the company that hired the Bauman Group, that start date was pushed back. This is something that was not at all in control of Bauman Group. Things were up in the air for a while and it wasn't clear when we would be starting. However, the Bauman Group was communicating regularly to keep us posted. Now the project is moving forward and plane tickets have been purchased for the contractors attending the training sessions, paid for by Bauman. That's a lot of money to invest in a scam. This is not a scam. They have asked for no money from me and have paid for everything related to my travel expenses, in addition to providing training that is benefiting me and increasing my knowledge. I'm not even sure what they would be getting out of this scam. As of yet, I haven't done anything for them, given them money or resources or work or anything that would benefit them at this point. I will say that I am just beginning my role here and so my experience with them is limited. But I think it's outrageous to come on here and review a company and call them a scam simply because of changes to your original schedule. You can really damage a company's reputation by doing that and I wanted to give another perspective because there is absolutely nothing fishy going on here. I might agree with things seeming a little disorganized, but again, I don't think that is the Bauman Group's fault because they were waiting on information from their client. But that does not sound scam alarm bells to me. As the other person mentioned, many people have been hired for this project. Bauman has given us all access to a project website to communicate through. With nearly 100 people on there, mostly contract trainers, I think if this was seeming like a scam, people would be posting concerns and asking a lot of questions on there. But all conversation has been positive and I haven't seen any kind of concern like that. The person from Dec 10, 2014 should not have come on here saying this company "might even be a scam" with literally no evidence or reason to presume that. At the very least, one should wait it out and see what the result is before posting something like that. Additionally, everyone I have spoken with has been very nice and helpful. I also find the pay to be pretty good but obviously no benefits for contractors. I don't think there is anyone who would have quit their previous job for to work for the Bauman Group on this project. The Bauman Group made it very clear from the beginning that this was a short term project. If someone quit their job for that, it is not The Bauman Group's fault. That is just their own stupidity.
Cons
I am not sure what opportunities with them will be available beyond this project. They say that they will continue to offer their trainers work, but its hard to know what that really means because we have no basis to understand how busy they are. Hopefully this will clear up with time.
