Pros
Starting pay is good. OT is always offered. Coworkers are friendly. Lots of luncheons!
Cons
Do not expect to be formally trained. Everything is learn as you go.Unorganized, out-of-date procedures of customer service, accounts payable, shipping and receiving, lab and HR practices. Managers and supervisors do not care about employee concerns. Managers only care when they are aproached by higher level management. Then they micro-manage for about a week until things calm down. Production schedules constantly change which makes for a hectic environment. Equipment in the plant and office is old and constantly breaks down. Then there is a rush to repair equipment and rush to get product out to the customer. Shipping and receiving is a joke. They leave truck drivers sitting for hours before getting loaded or unloaded. The people in the plant work hard but are mostly illegals. The break area in the plant is disgusting and is located too close to the product! The break room in the main office is usually clean and always has food, but the refridgerator smells and rumored to have ants. Raises and advancement are a pretty much non-exsistent. You will be lucky if you get close to 50 cent raise during review time. Management and the receptionist are cliquey have their 'favorites'. People take time off work constantly with no reprocussions. Unhappy people running this business.
