Pros
Good benefits and being able to help patients that need it
Cons
Toxic management depending on your location. I personally worked at two separate hospitals where the management was great at the first, terrible at the second. The management at the second was petty, micromanagers, and two-faced. I was always being taken away from the unit I was hired for to help out if someone called out or was on PTO. This wasn't just a one off time, this would be WEEKS at a time. They were all separate units, so I would end up getting yelled at for not knowing what is going on with the patients at 8 AM ON MY FIRST DAY ON THE UNIT. There is just no understanding at all and when I finally resigned, they tried to guilt trip me which confirmed even more so that I made the right decision.
