Pros
I got to do a lot of fun and important projects. It is very neat to see your research get quoted in the LA Times and other major publications. Chris is an extremely bright guy and he always brings up a different take on a project/opinion. Great learning experience with data sources, methodologies and writing. Good work life balance. Beacon worked on my custom schedule to accommodate my drive time and family obligations.
Cons
Pay could be a little better. But then again, the pay could always be better, at every employer.
