Perfect example of ZIRP - Senior Software Engineer Beamery Employee Review

Pros

- Pay - First Friday of the month off

Cons

- 3 founders have a combined < 6 years of actual working experience - Forbes 30 under 30 - Ignorant and arrogant C-suite <= deadly combination - Complete inability to learn from mistakes across the board - Exceedingly low quality employees, i.e. lazy and dumb - Sales making promises to prospects without talking to engineering - Heavy management echelon that do absolutely nothing useful or appropriate for their expertise - Rife with nepotism and favoritism. New CTO keeps bringing in subpar people of a certain national origin from his previous company over, slotting them directly into team lead / principal engineer positions when they won't even pass as a senior engineer anywhere else - Knee jerk decision making "processes". Every time a new process is introduced, before the results of the first try comes in, management is ready to move on to the next - Management lies all the time. The company values are written but everybody does the exact opposite all the time. There's no transparency or accountability whatsoever - No feedback culture, which leads to all of the above - The worst record keeping and institutional knowledge management - The worst product I've ever worked on with the worst ever customer feedback I've ever seen

We’re very aware that Beamery is not the finished article as a company, and we’re constantly learning, taking feedback on board, and looking at how we can create the most inclusive and successful business possible. We have worked incredibly hard over the last year to improve the transparency across the organisation, as well as making massive strides in how we collect and action feedback – the introduction of CultureAmp being a huge part of this. However, there are a few points you’ve mentioned that I strongly disagree with. To refer to your former colleagues as “lazy and dumb” is not only offensive but incredibly untrue – we have some of the hardest working and most intelligent employees, and I’m proud of everything they’ve done for Beamery and our customers. We are incredibly open as a management team about any changes that are made, and also quick to acknowledge when mistakes have been made.
