Busy Sometimes hard Managers People are difficult

My coworkers were kind and hardworking

Absolute garbage pay: they start you out at $8.50 an hour and demand so much of you. Manager would constantly micromanage and police what I say to customers. They reprimand you if you don’t up-sale the drinks (i.e. ask for extra shots, foam, more food items etc.) or if you’re not bubbly enough or if you’re not making enough conversation while ringing up customers too. I was told to be peppy and speak at a higher pitch. Zero benefits. I notified the manager that I wasn’t feeling well and was threatened for a write-up and was told I needed to find coverage for my shift or show up anyways. Scheduling is so inconsistent. I was promised 25 hours a week and was only getting 10-14 at the most. Stressful, toxic positivity, poor training and terrible management. Please for the love of humanity, do NOT work here.
