Pros

The pay is okay for a security company.

Cons

Don't pay on time. When you put in for your vacation, they forget then put you down as a no call no show. A female officer was assaulted and the man who did it is still employed. Two employees had weapons drawn on them. They are allowing all of this. There's no consequences for anything. They show no appreciation for their loyal employees. You put in all that time for nothing. Lot of crooked going on in that office. This is the worst company I have ever worked for and I hope they get it together. I would not recommend working for this company.

We are always saddened when a former employee chooses to post their concerns with us after they leave the company and not speak to us about them when they were a part of our team so we can work on them together. Bedrock Protection Agency pays weekly. We encourage all our officers to set up direct deposit so they do not need to wait on a paper check to arrive by mail. We are one of the few security companies that offers PTO. For an officer to take time off they must submit the request via a smartphone app that communicates directly with our scheduling software. We need at least a weeks notice for a day off and 3 weeks for more than a day. Most importantly the request must be approved before the officer takes the time off. We take the safety of our employees very seriously. Security Officers may encounter unsafe situations. I highly encourage this person to reach out to me at travis@bedrockprotectionagency.com . I would be grateful to learn more about their concerns and to look into them.

Pros

Company owners and leaders were very polite and understanding, and wanted to do what they possibly could to help out their employees.

Cons

Mixed hours, instead of specific types of guards to handle specific things it was more random and unorganized.

Pros

Great Security Guard training at beginning of employment. I enjoyed acting as a deterrent to criminals, and making sure that people and equipment were safe. Paul (President of company), and my Site supervisor (at my longest Graveyard shift assignment), were helpful and great to work with. I got good exercise when doing my rounds (conducting security checks), and that made it easier to finish those last couple hours on the Night shift.

Cons

When working the Graveyard shift assignment, it was ALWAYS difficult for me to have to work Overtime with no notice.. I preferred guarding assigned sites (Night shift) when there was a definite ending time, for my security guard duties, in the early morning. I also didn't like any security guard assignment that was more than 50 miles from my home due to having to contend with traffic and my fatigue at the same time.

As a 24/7 industry we are often called to work unusual hours. Occasionally officers do not make it to their assigned shifts on time and this negatively impacts others. We are investing in better scheduling software and procedures to minimize this issue.
