Regular interaction with other students and weekly check-ins helps me stay on top of my own school work Flexible hours, with a self set weekly schedule Satisfying to see students succeed over quarter Daily work load is reasonable for pay (20$ per hour at time of writing) management supports self care Students are typically very kind and appreciative of Mentors time Very independent, and respectful of time. As long as work gets done, you aren't micromanaged
Cons
Limit of 19 hours per week (not the department's fault) Occasionally students are rude, but that comes with the territory Summer training made day to day responsibilities seem much more aggressive than reality
