Pros

The clients are the only fulfilling and worthwhile part of this job

Cons

Residential directors don’t give a damn about anything going on at the houses. Directors are useless and not helpful at all. Never hiring staff so working weekends constantly. The people they do hire aren’t even capable of doing simple tasks. It’s all unfortunate

Pros

- they assign you the caseload - early intervention allows for good work life balance and schedule

Cons

little investment in CEUS/ongoing professional development and you are alone as the therapist in the family's home. So you have no mentorship, you are pretty much on your own. If you are an ambitious therapist that wants to be excellent in what you do, this is not the right setting.
