Pros
I love working for Benefitfirst. In my experience Benefitfirst is a family oriented company that provides employees an excellent work / life balance and a great low stress work environment. I feel I am paid fairly and supported and recognized by management for my work. Nearly everyone in management has come up through the Solution Manager job and has a great understanding of what we do on a day in and day out basis and knows every part of our business very well. Benefitfirst has a team environment where everyone is willing to help others grow and succeed. More experienced team members and those in other departments such as on the IT side are always willing to share their knowledge and expierience. Contrary to some other reviews I have never experienced any micromanagement in my job. My experience has been the exact opposite. I am extremely grateful for the support I have received over my time with the company from management and ownership. They have always been fair, respectful, kind, open to suggestion and willing to listen in my experience. I have never felt like just a number here and have always felt valued. I am happy and grateful to be a part of this team!
Cons
There are always those will find something wrong with a good thing and always those who will have sour grapes. I have experience in the Employee Benefits field prior to coming to work at Benefitfirst and in my expierience we have it good here. There is always room for improvement but Benefitfirst does an excellent job of taking care of its employees and providing a great place to work in my opinion.
