Pros
Handful of optimistic, smart and hardworking individuals trying their best to make improvements. Recent push for better project management and good project managers. Good 401k matching. New executive team seems to be in process of making improvements. Normal amount for tuition reimbursement.
Cons
Huge turn over rate likely because of terrible compensation, lack of growth opportunity and disparagement. Groups are drowning in work as a result. Love to hire people with upper level degrees but don’t value the ones getting the actual day to day work done. Keep on people who are liabilities for the company. Very reactive day to day instead of proactive which tells you a lot about how things run. New erp and project management systems with no initial consideration for the needs of those on the floor using them. Little to no training on how to utilize the new systems. Its amazing how well people in multiple groups have trained themselves to get the job done. Lack of resources for technical and manufacturing departments but seemingly huge amounts of resources thrown into marketing and sales. (Truly might be an amazing company to work for on that side of the coin). My experiences with HR were subpar on a generous day. I know others with similar or worse HR experiences. Complete lack of professional development resources or programs. They do have “performance reviews” but they aren’t used for anything. No compensation for going above and beyond but on the other hand no reprimanding if you’re barely getting the job done so it could be a pro. I didn’t realize how terrible the medical benefits were until I started my new job. No sick leave.
