Pros

The company and team are very relaxed. They do a lot to ensure that even though everything is remote, there’s a sense of togetherness. If there’s ever a question, someone knows and is willing to share the answer.

Cons

Wish they paid more. I’m having to get a second job to try to pay my bills. Low wages for the legal industry and related fields.

Pros

-Almost all processes in BLP have been streamlined to make it an easier position - Most of the technology works as needed, and it's been cut down to only a few sites/programs needed daily - I spend almost no time in meetings aside from a daily morning one, forced club meetings (expanded on in cons), and department/team meetings once a week. - Great work-life balance working from home

Cons

- They went from seven regions to split drafting and filing by state down to four, then three. The three regions are too large with too many specialized states and causes a lot of problems with less experienced paralegals. - Nobody seems to know what part of the process they are supposed to handle, very often a problem is passed by one department to another who doesn't think it's theirs to fix - Pay is absolutely abysmal considering the output they expect you to do daily - The management team- specifically Brittany Bowman and Shawn Burdick- are completely out of touch with the lower employees leading to major oversights in employee happiness but also with actual production - They recently forced all waged employees to join virtual clubs once a week during work hours, which most people probably wouldn't have a problem with but I think that the fact they are making people do it and not offering it as a choice is very weird and off-putting. They assigned everyone who did not choose a club to one randomly, and check your attendance for the club meetings. - No sick days allowed period. You will get written up for calling out regardless of having an excuse or even being in the hospital. An emergency happened out of my control during training causing my internet to cut for the rest of the work day and they put through the termination paperwork by the next morning until I was able to convince them not to. Any time off has to be submitted a minimum of 2 days in advance.
