Pros
- Work with some of the latest techs out there - There are still great people around
Cons
Unfortunately in the past few years the company changed from a great place to work for to a really frustrating one. - Senior management only cares about forcing people into the office rather than getting on with the business and make sure projects are successful. I felt like nobody cared about the work I was doing, management just cared about me coming to the office and tapping the card on the card readers. Another crazy thing is that my whole team would have been based in Cape Town and I was required to come to the office to have Teams calls with my team to make sure " having the team present in the office will lead to an increase of collaboration and creativity". Of course . People are now forced to come to the office 3 set days per week leaving the other two "flexible". But if you come one extra day on Tuesday, you can enjoy 10£ off on an overpriced lunch. Great deal - Communication is not existent. Sister companies develop the same projects multiple times just because they are not aware or don't communicate between each other, there is no organisation, no planning, no structure, nothing...just caos. Good luck to find answers in case you need. - Benefits changes happens but they are not communicated to the staff - Career progression is not existent - There is no leadership whatsoever - Forcing people to the office just made sure that there is an awful morale throughout all the group and the vibes are horrible. People just complain all the time and nobody is even surprised anymore when someone says "I am leaving". - Bonuses are really low nowadays - HR is not supportive, any request will be denied - Pay is below industry standard. I am really sad to say all of this things as I used to love this place and I was once proud to work for Betway, but since we joined the stock market, this company changed in the wrong way and it keeps getting worse.
