Pros
Current pros: - Some good people still work there - Flexible on which technology is adapted
Cons
I've worked in the company between 5-10 years (not giving an exact number for obvious reasons). Things started off pretty well, lots of career opportunities within technology. Directors were mostly knowledgeable in their fields and supported development of their departments. However after they went public, things just went downhill. Multiple redundancies have happened and there's been hardly any communication about it. Tons of politics from those in leadership positions allowing themselves to influenced by rumours and hearsay to make decisions on peoples careers. Other cons: - Ridiculous office policy despite so many staff working remotely in other countries. Come to the office 3 times a week to spent it mostly on Teams call. You can't have your cake and eat it too, if you want to benefit from remote culture then adapt to it properly - Restructures that make zero sense, managers and heads of being given responsibility of departments they know nothing about - Make staff wait for a year or more for promotions then give 5% increases with no backfilling if they were given the title change already. - The only department in Technology that has been built up is Data. I know Data is important but you have 5 heads of within Data while Dev and QA are now scattered around within streams that have no guidance
