*They will respect you and not treat you as a mindless drone. *Good benefits package. People who say otherwise don't know how bad other companies can be. *They cover internet and phone if you are on call, with an on call differential *Freedom to help build value in the company, for example choosing which projects to prioritize. *Knowing exactly how you made a difference in the company.
Cons
*Communication between departments is vague, cryptic and highly political. *Pay disparities. Some people in my same position make 2 times as much as I do if Glassdoor is accurate, but they do the same job I do. *Some people who are afraid to lose their jobs if they let anyone know how to do their job. This leads to poor documentation if there is any at all.
