Street Government Phone Sales - Sales Representative Beyond Marketing Employee Review

Pros

Some cool coworkers I guess

Cons

Be prepared to go to the "office" (shared with other companies running similar MLM operations) for an hour every morning for a 'hype up' meeting. Then you will spend the rest of the day on the street, usually in dangerous neighborhoods, trying to get people who qualify to sign up for a government phone with you. Pay is 100% commission. Complete MLM with dbag managers who try to inspire by flexing their cars, watches, and homes. STAY AWAY

Pros

-Young employees are all very kind and embrace teamwork -Employees are often eager to help/ get to know newcomers

Cons

* Was completely mislead. Had no idea this would be a pure commission sales job. * Manager was annoyed with me for asking questions * For commission sales, you'll be sent into unsafe places in Chicago. This goes from 2:00 to about 7:00pm at most. *If you can't make your quota, good luck getting paid. Was told I'd get paid a minimum of $800 weekly. *You must work six days a week. You'll be less respected by management if you take days off. *There's a reason you don't see older people here, because the employees including myself were all fresh out of college looking for opportunities. *Most don't go very far or gain useful skills for marketing jobs.
