If I didn't have bills to pay, I would have left sooner. - Cashier Big 5 Sporting Goods Employee Review

Pros

The hours weren't terrible. My manager was fairly flexible with the schedule, though they no longer work at that location. The employee discount was nice. Some of my coworkers made staying tolerable.

Cons

I would love to blame just the location, but I can't. I met my first N*zi, due to the amount of homeless people in the area, we would have a few cr*ckheads causing issues. The sheer amount of customer theft was insane. Often times, during the closing shift, only people on the more petite side would be working. This is when we would have people, especially intimidating in stature, come and cause trouble. It was very clique-y. Be a sales associate if you can, as a cashier, I was often left alone at the front and everyone would pair off. The customer is not always right. One of the managers was a pervert and divulged too much personal information, unwarranted.
